WORK 06 (Part 1: Title Sequence)
Micro-FMP
Upon starting the new year, we’re working on creating a small version of potential “Final Major Project” options. Our choices were between creating a title sequence for a new concept, writing a 5 page script and recording it as a 3 minute podcast short, or a 5 minute documentary short. My aim was to choose and complete at least 2 of the options, if not all 3. My first creation was a title sequence with the idea of capitalizing on the recent boom in television shows and Marvel’s push into that market, while also noticing how long the franchise has been running for in order to pitch a new jumping-on point for new audiences.
WORK 06 (Part 2: Documentary)
Micro-FMP Cont.
The second option for us to choose from was to create a short documentary (between 4 and 5 minutes in length) on a topic of our choosing. I chose a topic with which I find personal interest and have experience in discussing. The video is created entirely using royalty-free music and scenes, while also trying to be autism-friendly regarding transitions and sensory overload.
WORK 06 (Part 3: Script)
Micro-FMP Cont.
For the 3rd and final choice for my micro-FMP, we were tasked with writing a script for any existing or unique concept. My aim was to try my hand at scripting out one of my ideas/concepts. I worked on this script over around 5 weeks of regular tampering, adding, and removing whilst working on my other ideas. I wished to ensure that the length of the script worked in regards of a short film, allowing it to be a potential option for my FMP. More detail is contained within the evaluation for this project.
WORK 06 (Evaluation)
Micro-FMP Evaluation
After completing all three of the available choices, my next step was to evaluate all 3 separately. Here, you’ll find my in-depth opinions on the creation of and final product from the 3 choices
Helping Others
Separate Group Micro-FMP
After finishing my micro-FMP, I offered out help to other groups and ended up helping my classmates Neitonas and Alex with a title sequence. I offered my assistance where available and used the opportunity as a chance to familiarize myself with an electronic camera stabilizer for the first time, which was endlessly fascinating.

Looking At Others’ Portfolios
To allow us to better visualize positive improvements we can implement into our websites, we were tasked with analyzing 2 professional portfolios for elements we like and dislike – with the intent being to implement positives and remain cautious of negatives with our own websites.
