Poem Reading and Returning to college life

After having a rather busy Summer break and a wonderful holiday meeting with a friend in their home country, I enjoyed getting to plunge myself back into my work upon college’s continuation. Just before the Summer break commenced, I took on an opportunity to record a poem performance for a member of the drama class. Due to the overly busy nature of the break, I found myself unable to edit or work on it during that time and so decided that it would be the first piece of work I finish upon my return to education.

The poem reading was filmed within 1 day and gave me a unique opportunity to try working on something less movement focused and with specially made backgrounds. I opted for numerous different angles, positions and levels of zoom in order to best replicate the style of the reference video that was shown to me by their tutor. Next time I’d consider employing some handheld elements to our recording in order to provide a more immersive experience and add to the viewers enjoyment.
