Over the half-term break, I took time to ensure that I was able to rest and recuperate after the stresses of the final major project. I juggled rest with part-time work alongside my dad, as well as making some repairs on a weather-damaged patch of our garage roof. By the end of this break, I feel much more refreshed and ready to make final creative touches for the year – such as taking on more work experience opportunities, creating a showreel for the second and final year of the course, and catching up on small jobs such as WordPress maintenance.
Over the coming weeks, there have been talks about creating a small project just for fun and practice in order to add to our CVs. This could possibly involve using most people within our class, and a few from other media classes, to create something where everyone gets to take on the roles they are interested in.
I also finished a very quick edit for the GelBlaster company in order to meet a quick turnaround – as they had an event currently running and wanted footage to post in order to generate publicity for it. Below is the final copy of this quick edit:
