Week 14

During this final week leading into the Winter break, I used this as an opportunity to help other groups that needed assistance as their available shooting days dwindled. I also got an opportunity to attend a meeting regarding some work experience related to creating advertising for a toy company. I found the behind-the-scenes information provided in this meeting to be fascinating and now that we have a better understanding of what they’re looking for and our available resources, I plan to workshop some ideas over the coming break.

I’ve started throwing myself into the editing for the project and I’m already met with my own middling perception of how it’s turned out – with audio and visual issues rampant throughout many parts of the footage. I’m relieved and impressed with myself and my group for being able to get everything filmed by the deadline, but I can see numerous ways we could have increased its quality if given more time and what we know now.

Stress is still an issue for me personally, as I believe the pressure I put on myself for this project has made it feel much heavier than what I’ve worked on previously. I’d like to avoid this issue moving forward and am speaking to people about this actively. I’ll try to balance the Winter break between getting more work done and taking some time to myself.

In the meantime, here’s some nature photos I took and lightly altered whilst I was in Hungary a few months ago:
